Mulled wine spice doubles up as a good pickling spice and when ground down, it's wonderful in chutneys and minced fruit.
This is a good all round winter flavour. Try adding it to brandy and infusing it for a couple of weeks before the cold sets in. It's a good remedy to boost the bones when they're cold and weary.
